Hi there! I just wanted to take a moment to say hello and clarify a few things as my very first blog post here. First of all, thank you so much for coming by and exploring my website!

For a while I was just using Etsy as a selling platform, but I thought it might be nice to have my own space for all things Bubbly Bee. In the future, I’ll be posting little snippets here about my process, things I’ve learned, and of course, all things clay! I could talk about ceramics for hours (and often do), so this feels like the perfect place to share.

If you’ve ever spotted one of my pieces online and thought, “Wait… didn’t I see this for a different price at the market?”… You’re not imagining things!

My prices can look a little different depending on where you're shopping: my website, Etsy, or in-person at markets or pop-ups.

Here’s why:

Shipping ceramics is no small task. They’re heavy, fragile, and need a lot of care- padding, boxes, tape, and time to get them safely to your doorstep. On average, it costs me about $13–$18 just to ship a single mug or chalice.

Instead of listing a piece for $30 and then tacking on $15 at checkout (which always feels like a surprise fee), I include the shipping cost in the price you see.

I do this because I want online shopping to feel straightforward and not like you’re being hit with hidden costs. But it does mean my online prices are almost always higher than what you’d see in person.

What About Local Pickup?

If you’re in the Tampa Bay area and want to skip shipping, just message me before you place an order and I’ll take a bit off the total to reflect that. That said, pickups still take some coordination- wrapping, scheduling, and meeting up.
